Uprising Women: Life After Sugar

Uprising Women is a support and enterprise group that was established in 2005 after the sugar industry of St. Kitts closed down, leaving over 10% of the working population of the country unemployed.

During a 3-day participatory video workshop in October 2007, the Uprising Women’s group made this video. The video is aimed at donors and government agencies and showcases the group’s activities and ideas for the future.

Facilitated by Pamela Richardson-Ngwenya and supported by the UNDP Caribbean Office.
